When his mother told him that she was looking to buy a prefabricated garden house, Caspar Schols convinced her to instead let him design and build a house for her. After agreeing on the final design, he spent seven months building a kit in their garage. In another month, he put the house together on location with the help of friends and family. After completing the project Caspar asked me to document it. Dezeen published the images I made with an article which led to subsequent media attention – all for a project built before Schols entered the Architectural Association in London.
